June 26, 2014 – The Nevada Supreme Court issued an opinion today reversing a lower court order modifying a divorce decree six years after the divorce. In the lower court proceedings, the ex-wife obtained a court order redistributing a portion of the ex-husband’s FAA retirement pension on the basis that the pension was omitted from the original divorce proceedings. Attorney Chris Rusby represented the ex-husband on appeal and was able to convince the Nevada Supreme Court that the lower court’s order was in error. This case was hotly contested on appeal and raised important issues of Nevada law.
